Happy Birthday Sweetheart

My dearest daughter,
May you always be this happy cheerful person you are.
May all you wishes be fulfilled and you life be filled with all the joy and happiness.
May your thought always bring a smile to all the people who love you.
This year is going to be so different for you. You will be a big sister. A sibling that you so wanted will be here. You have been so excited about it and so loving towards unborn sibling that it brings tears of joy to me. May you always love like this and your love always be returned many fold.
I love you with all my sweetheart.
Am choking now and don't have any words for now...

Lots of Love
Amma.

Not a Kindergartner anymore!!!

Well, Sahithi's Kindergarten lasted all of three days. School started on Wednesday and on Friday I got a call from her teacher Mrs.B, saying that she is recommending a move to Grade one. Her words were " Sahithi seems like a very mature kid for her age. Academically she seems to be ahead of her peers and think, she is ready for first grade". It was really very nice to hear a such nice words about my little baby from a new teacher. So I am officially a first grader's mom now. It means longer school hours, more responsibility, more homework and projects and more attention academically. First Grade, here we come all charged up now.

Am back..For good.

So, what was I doing all these days...
Enjoying as long as my parents were here and then sulking after they are gone.
They could not stay for as long as they had planned to because of some unforeseen circumstances.
So they left and I sulked. Much better now. Got back into my usual routine.
So will be posting more regularly now.

What has been Sahithi up to these days..Loosing teeth. Already lost 6 of them. 4 back, 2 still missing and 2 loose. My baby is in a hurry to grow up. :(
She starts public school this year. Her registration is complete. Took her to see the new school and she LOVES it. And she is looking forward to go to the new school. She did not take the previous school change so well. So, I am kind of anxious about it.

Happy Birthday Dear Sweet Heart

Dearest Sahithi,

You will be 5 years old tomorrow.
Time just flies. Seems like yesterday you were born and now you are a young one with thoughts, likes and dislikes of your own and old enough to articulate them.
Sweetheart, you are the most important thing that has happened to us. You will always be our priority. Dada's little girl and Mama's sweet heart bangaru.

I know that I am probably not being the best mother to you. There are so many things that I wish I had done differently and In spite of all that, you have turned out to be the best and all the credit for that goes to you. There is so much I need to learn from you. Your abilty to forgive and forget in a heart beat, your ever smiling cheerful attitude, your patience with me and all the kids around and so many more. I was so very proud when one of your teachers told me that "Sahithi is the most cheerful and happy girl in school. She is game for anything. Never says no to try anything". I wish that you will always be like this and that some it rubs off on me .

I have been losing my patience with you so easily for such small things these days. My gift to you this birthday is a promise that I will be more patient with you. No more yellings, no more glarings, no more disapprovals. I proimse that I will put on my kiddie shoes, and be friends with you, enjoy your mischeif and may be become a part of it too. I will try and experience your childhood with you. And if I ever fail to do so, I will come back here to read this and remind myself.

There is so much more I want to say, but can't find words.
All I can say right now is I love you sweetheart and wish you all the happiness in the world.

Love,
Amma.
