Tooth fairy's Update

Almost a week and half's wait finally came to end. I was as eager to visit Sahithi's land as she was to get a visit from me.

Sahithi's Version

The day donned bright and sunny. Momy had to go to work early and so she left. It was left to dada to get me ready and take me to school. As I started brushing my teeth, I felt a sting and there it was. The tooth had fallen and before I or dada realized it got washed down the sink!!!!!!!!

My brave dada tried to retrieve it but he could not. And I could not stop crying. I wanted to see my tooth and it was gone, for ever. After much cajoling from dada, i got ready and went to school, all the while still trying to think what tooth fairy is going to bring me.

Dada's Version

Finally the tooth fell. Have to inform momy. ( Promptly forget about it)

Momy's Version:

NOTHING as she did not know about it at all. How can he forget telling me about it??? I got to know only when I called. And now what should tooth fairy get her.

After a few frantic calls between momy and dada, the matter was still unresolved and so finally toothfairy took matters into her own hands. She decided to leave no one unhappy. To keep Sahithi Happy, she got a HUGE barbie sticker book and to keep parents happy she got a Hooked on Phonics reading set. ( Since the fairy was called for an emergency, she trusted dada to do her job and he did so well that he exceeded her expectations).

For the records the tooth was lost of 10/02/2007.

So, all is well that ends well.

I leave you some pictures.

O Tooth fairy, Where art thou...

This is the thought Sahithi has every single minute now, because.... because... SHE HAS A LOOSE TOOTH!!!!!!!!!

Four years and eight months and a loose tooth already, I was one worried momma. But I did my research (why fear when google is here). It supposedly is not uncommon for children to have a loose tooth at this age. And if they had teeth early, they loose them early too. She teethed at four months and so it is OK. This was my reaction and this is what Sahithi thinks.

She is so excited to have a loose tooth. Sindhu, Suraj, Abhilekha all lost their tooth and she was the odd one out so far. (All of them her friends and a good two years elder to her). And finally finally she has a loose tooth. She is still debating as to what to ask the tooth fairy for. Every second minute she comes and says "mama, it is still loose, it did not come out". And I am already tired of answering her. :)

For the records, the loose tooth was detected on 09/24/07, while brushing the teeth.
