Tag2 - Middle name Tag.

Poppin tagged me to do this. The tag is to list one fact of my life for every letter of my middle name. I know Indians usually don't have middle names, especially girls. But I do. :) and a very unusual one too, for a south Indian. So, here is the tag.

The three rules to be followed are:
a) The rules must be mentioned in the beginning of the tag.

b) You must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

c) At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

C : Candid. Goes with being outspoken

H: Honest. I am an honest person. I can't lie because the other person would know immediately that I am lying. If I have to lie, then it is by omission.

O : Outspoken. I always speak my mind and there is no other way to it.

W : Witty. I have been told by several people that I am witty. And with the right company, I can go crazy. :)

D - Detail Oriented. Before doing anything, I need to gather as much information as possible.

A : Assertive. I never refrain from voicing my opinion if I have one

R : Rowdy. Yep rowdy. That is how I was during childhood. I was one outspoken brat. All changed as I grew up.

Y: Yellow. I LOVE yellow color for kids. At a point Sahithi has so many yellow outfits that I lost count.

There it is done. It was not an easy tag to do. Had to rake my brains for it.

O Tooth fairy, Where art thou...

This is the thought Sahithi has every single minute now, because.... because... SHE HAS A LOOSE TOOTH!!!!!!!!!

Four years and eight months and a loose tooth already, I was one worried momma. But I did my research (why fear when google is here). It supposedly is not uncommon for children to have a loose tooth at this age. And if they had teeth early, they loose them early too. She teethed at four months and so it is OK. This was my reaction and this is what Sahithi thinks.

She is so excited to have a loose tooth. Sindhu, Suraj, Abhilekha all lost their tooth and she was the odd one out so far. (All of them her friends and a good two years elder to her). And finally finally she has a loose tooth. She is still debating as to what to ask the tooth fairy for. Every second minute she comes and says "mama, it is still loose, it did not come out". And I am already tired of answering her. :)

For the records, the loose tooth was detected on 09/24/07, while brushing the teeth.

ipod or eye-pod or something else..

Scene in the car on our way from home

I am fiddling with the ipod.

Sahithi : Mama what is that?
Me: It is an ipod bangaru.

Sahithi: No it is not an ipod.........it is an ear-pod.
Me:*Completely baffled* what did u say??.

Sahithi:*Very Patiently* Amma, it does not go on the eyes. So it can not be an ipod. It goes on the ears so it is an ear-pod.
Me: *Laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my eyes..*

Go figure that logic now.
And this was the response I got from a friend when I told her.
"So smart and these dumb marketing campaigners couldn't’t figure that out".

Well after a particularly tiring day, only she could make me forget the day and put a smile on my face.

Sahithi's Demands

Last week on our way home this is the conversation I had with Sahithi..

Sahithi : Mama.....
Me : hmmmmmm....

Sahithi: I want to change my name
*This gets my full and complete attention*
Me: What do you want to change it to sweetheart..

Sahithi: I want to change my name to Jack.
Me: But Jack is a boy's name.

Sahithi: That's OK. I still want to change it to Jack.
Me: We will think about it when you are bigger.

Few minutes of silence and then

Sahithi: Mama...
Me: hmmm I am listening..

Sahithi: Can you please wipe this away * Showing the mole, which is on upper right corner of her lip*
Me: I can not wipe it away... It is a mole.

Sahithi: I don't like it. Let us try to erase it with an eraser.

I am hoping that she will like her own name much better than Jack and pray that day would come soon. And that there are people who would give an arm and a leg for that kind of mole .:):)

Life goes ahead..

It has just been so very hectic that sometimes I feel like I don't know what I am doing. I have been moved to a new team at work. It is almost like working in a new work place with everything being so very different from my old team.

I had to change Sahithi's school as her old school was sold. All the teachers left except the one who was Sahithi's teacher. And the new teacher that would have taught her was a brand new teacher with no credentials. But changing schools has been very hard on her. It has been almost four weeks and she still misses her old school and talks about it all the time. Every day is the same story, with her whining and crying that she wants to go back to her old school and we trying to explain to her that new school is good for her. This change has taken a toll on her as well as us. I am hoping that she will like the new school as much as her old one pretty soon so that all of us can retain our sanity soon.

In addition to music class, we started playing Soccer in U-6 AYSO league and a dance class. She has always enjoyed physical activity. So Soccer has been very good and she shows promise according to her coach. But dance is a little different. She is the youngest in the class of four and has been much slower than others. Teacher says that younger kids are much slower in learning initially so its OK. But somehow I think she has no aptitude for classical dance. She is happy doing her own free style for music around the house, but she is not taking well to structured teaching. She wants to take an art class on top of all these. What can I say, this child just has enormous amouts of energy.
