Happy Birthday Dear Sweet Heart
Dearest Sahithi,
You will be 5 years old tomorrow.
Time just flies. Seems like yesterday you were born and now you are a young one with thoughts, likes and dislikes of your own and old enough to articulate them.
Sweetheart, you are the most important thing that has happened to us. You will always be our priority. Dada's little girl and Mama's sweet heart bangaru.
I know that I am probably not being the best mother to you. There are so many things that I wish I had done differently and In spite of all that, you have turned out to be the best and all the credit for that goes to you. There is so much I need to learn from you. Your abilty to forgive and forget in a heart beat, your ever smiling cheerful attitude, your patience with me and all the kids around and so many more. I was so very proud when one of your teachers told me that "Sahithi is the most cheerful and happy girl in school. She is game for anything. Never says no to try anything". I wish that you will always be like this and that some it rubs off on me .
I have been losing my patience with you so easily for such small things these days. My gift to you this birthday is a promise that I will be more patient with you. No more yellings, no more glarings, no more disapprovals. I proimse that I will put on my kiddie shoes, and be friends with you, enjoy your mischeif and may be become a part of it too. I will try and experience your childhood with you. And if I ever fail to do so, I will come back here to read this and remind myself.
There is so much more I want to say, but can't find words.
All I can say right now is I love you sweetheart and wish you all the happiness in the world.
Love,
Amma.

First Post for the year.
Well here I am after the long break. Lots of updates and lots of blog posts to catch up with.
We are having a gala time with family. I am having a full house with parents, brother and a dearest cousin. Don't know how the day starts and ends. After hectic time at work, got a week's vacation and for a good reason. My little brother graduated with a master's and all of us were present to see him take the graduation walk. It was such a proud moment for all of us. When I graduated, it was just my roomie who was there to cheer me. So I wanted everyone to be there when he walks. Probably more for me than him. :).
Did I hear anyone ask which school he graduated from?? VIVA LAS VEGAS...Yep, we let a 21 year old go to school in Vegas and THANK GOD he turned out alright.
Now slowly getting back into the routine.

This and That
10 hours work days....
Persisting cough and cold...
Hubby not feeling so very well....
stream of visitors over the weekend.....
Messy house, hunt for maid led me no where....
Light at the end of tunnel, parents coming tonight.....
15 more hours for them to be here and I can't wait. This is the first time they are coming together. Mom was here for my pregnancy but this is dad's first trip. And this will be the first time in 7 years that we will spend some quality time together, all of us including my brother. Sahithi has been very very excited and counting days. Fun filled months are what are ahead now.

More about me...
Shobhana tagged me with one. So here I am, with more stuff about me.
The rules are:
1.Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2.Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.
3.Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4.Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Seven quirks of mine are,
1. I cannot sleep with my bedroom door open or my feet uncovered. I HAVE to close it for me to be able to sleep and HAVE to cover my feet. There is no other go.
2. I hate having a full kitchen sink. I try to clean up the dishes ASAP. It feels like the whole house is dirty if there are unwashed dishes.
3. I am not very fond of jewellery. If I don't buy any more jewellery for myself for the rest of my life, I will be fine with it.
4. I am very punctual. I don't like making anybody wait for me.
5. I have long, strong nails. And I used to be very proud of them and take good care of them. Now, with all the household chores, they are pretty neglected. :(
6. I thoroughly enjoy cooking. It is my therapy for all my problems. I cook when I am happy, sad , angry, stressed.. you get the drift.
7. I am a multi tasker. At any given time you can find me doing 3 different things. I am always trying to think of ways to save time to do a particular task.
Now tagging seven more people boo, kodismom, dotmom. I think I will stop at three so that they can tag more. :)

six years of being together..
Six years of being together, growing together, learning together and the best of all fighting with each other. What fun and frolic these six years have been. Both of us as different as chalk and cheese when we started and slowly reaching a point where it is difficult to comprehend if chalk turned to cheese to chalk. He has definitely imparted some of his personality to me and I would like to think that he has learned something from me too.
Dinner and a movie it was for us....a traditional anniversary celebration..
To my man, who buys be plants instead of flowers, all I can say that
ek pyaar kaa nagmaa hai,
maujo kee rawaani hai
Zindagi aaur kuchh bhi nahi,
teri meri kahaani hain
