Today was the first day of Kinder garten and below is how Sahithi described her day and I quote her verbatim, not one word changed.
First we played outside. Then we stood for pledge, a song came and then first bell for us to go to the bathroom and drink water, second bell for us to freeze, third bell for us to lineup to go inside. And then when we went inside, we hanged our backpacks on the hook outside. There was story about Bono, the monkey. And then we went out side and ate snack on the benches with first graders. For a little while Mrs.Burt told a story, read a book about a story and then I forgot the other one. Then Mrs.Burt called the names to go the desks and then we colored a bee and we wrote ourselves on a piece of paper about our feelings "I feel fun", "what's your friend's name?". I draw on the paper and then we went out to eat lunch. If you are done, you raise your hand and sit next to the wall for a little while. Then you go out and play.I forgot something. First bell is for lining up, second bell to freeze and third to go to the bathroom. We lay down on the table for a little while. We sat on the carpet and Mrs.Burt told another story. She took us outside and then I saw Archana Aunty. Mrs.Burt said everyone was doing very good work. She said I read well. And then I saw momy. I Archana aunty's house we played with Tia and then we colored. And we read books and even Tia read books and then we wrote our sentences and then Shriya went home. We ate apples, sandwiches, garlic bread and drank juice. And then momy came and picked me up. We saw kids outside playing and we went to the pool and I played. At school, there was friend named Ellie and I played with her. I took a bath myself and dressed all by myself. I went to S aunty's house and ate dinner there. That's all.
